In Italy, approximately 30,000 new single-family and two-family homes are built each year, equivalent to 3.5 million square meters. If they were constructed using CFS steel, the following savings would be achieved:
- 350,000,000 liters of water compared to reinforced concrete constructions (equivalent to the annual potable water consumption of a city with 500,000 inhabitants).
- 76,000 km² of forest compared to wooden constructions (equivalent to 90% of Austria's surface area).
